Business Manager

Pay: Begins at $300/week, additional pay considered for Eagle Scouts, NYLT/Wood Badge Training, and other relevant trainings/awards. Housing in a cabin with electricity and meals included.

Job Summary: The Dan Beard Scout Reservation Business Manager is responsible for making sure all staff have the materials necessary to perform their jobs. This includes purchasing program supplies, restocking consumables in the Trading Posts, and any other purchases as designated by the Business Operation Manager or Camping Director. Additionally, the Business Manager will pick up deposits from the Trading Posts and take them to the bank daily.

Principal Responsibilities:

·         Pick up deposits from Camp Friedlander and Cub World to take to the bank daily.

·         Fill out daily transmittals for financial recordkeeping, and submit to the Business Operation Manager for approval.

·         Make purchases on behalf of the Dan Beard Council to restock the Trading Posts and purchase program supplies as necessary.

·         Maintain a record of all purchases made and submit receipts to the Business Operation Manager.

·         Work with the Camp Friedlander and Cub World Office Managers to ensure all units are paid in full prior to departing camp.

·         Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

·         Required 21+.

·         High school graduate or GED required. College experience strongly preferred.

·         Must have a current, valid State Driver’s License.

·         Prior business purchasing experience preferred.

·         Prior retail experience preferred.

·         Have excellent customer service, and communication skills.

·         Must have exceptional attention to detail and show responsibility handling cash.

·         Demonstrate strong computer skills including a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
