Requirements:
The Health Officer of Camp Daniel Boone should be a responsible, capable, and positive person. He or she should be at least 18 and have be licensed in one of the following areas: Physician, Registered or Practical Nurse, Physician’s attendant, medical student, paramedic, or Emergency Medical Technician. The Health Officer must be approved by the Council’s Camp Physician. He or she should be registered with the Boy Scouts of America.
Responsibilities:
The Health Officer of Camp Daniel Boone must accept responsibility for all health and safety practices on site. He or she should care for non-serious injuries and enter all treatment in a first aid log. The Health Officer should also be responsible for coordination and presentation of all health related programs. He or she must comply with all National, State, and local ordinances as well as the National Camp Standards set by the Boy Scouts of America.
Specific Duties:
• Maintenance and set up Health Lodge.
• Administers first aid for any and all injuries.
• Provide medical rechecks for all campers.
• Maintains first aid logs for campers and staff.
• Ensures that daily hot & cold charts are completed in dining hall, trading post, and health lodge.
• Follow all safety procedures as set by the Boy Scouts of America.
• Develops list of needs within an established budget
• Follows all policies set by the Boy Scouts of America, and all local, state, and national laws
• Any other duties as assigned by the Camp Director

Week 1 June 09 – June 15, 2024
Week 2 June 16 – June 22, 2024
Week 3 June 23 – June 29, 2024
Week 4 June 30 – July 06, 2024
Week 5 July 07 – July 13, 2024
Week 6 July 14- July 20, 2024
Week 7 July 21 – July 27, 2024
You may be asked to start as early as May 28th, 2024 and stay until July 31st, 2024.
