Program Staff (Hiring Multiple Individuals for the Position)

Program staff are the heart and soul of summer camp. They provide the merit badge and program instruction with campers and are the point of contact between camp staff and youth. Program staff are responsible for high-quality customer service and program instruction. Program staff serves under the direction of the Program Director and their assigned Area Director.

Responsibilities and Duties

– Provide positive training for Scouts and adult leaders.
– Help maintain proper BSA standards for instruction, supervision, and safety training in the program.
– Provide excellent customer service to our customers.
– Serve as a merit badge counselor.
– Ensure the program area is used only when qualified supervision is present. Staff members may not use the area without qualified supervision.
– Follow all Youth Protection Guidelines and the Guide to Safe Scouting.
– Be an enthusiastic camp staff member.
– Other duties as assigned by the Camp Director or Program Director

Qualifications

– Must be 15 years of age or older
– Must have a positive attitude.
– Background in Scouting is not required.
– Complete on-site training.
