CAMP SINOQUIPE SCOUT RESERVATION / SHENANDOAH AREA COUNCIL, BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
The picturesque 500-acre Sinoquipe Scout Reservation, owned and operated by the Shenandoah Area Council, BSA, is nestled in the mountains of Fulton County, Pennsylvania around a 10-acre lake. Conveniently located off the Fort Littleton exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, discover why so many Scouts and Scouters make Camp Sinoquipe their home away from home every summer. Camp Sinoquipe, as it is commonly called, offers a traditional style Scout Camp with Summer camp programs for Scouts BSA (age 11-18) and Venturing (age 14-20). We offer resident and provisional opportunities for all programs. Our summer camp program provides an unlimited supply of opportunities to make your stay at SSR an experience of a lifetime. Scouts learn and explore as they seek the adventures only a summer camp experience can provide including Shooting Sports, Aquatics (in a lake and swimming pool), Outdoor Skills, Handicraft, Technology and Ecology programs.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A NATURE STAFF MEMBER
Age 15 or older
Available for the summer from early June – July 30
Ability to solve problems and function as part of a team to provide a FUN & safe experience
Attentive to safety and take common-sense precautions
Enjoy trying new things, patient and able to remain calm under pressure
Assist in helping to carry out and enforce all safety rules and policies
Teach skilled instruction in nature & ecology based activities
Other duties in camp as may be assigned by the Camp Director and/or Program Director
Nature & Ecology Instructors are directly responsible to the Nature Director in their area
TYPICAL SUMMER WORK SCHEDULE
The typical week for the staff begins on Sunday at 11am and continues through Saturday at 10am, with 24 hours off between sessions. All staff also gets one evening during the week off. Programs run from 9am-12noon, 2-5pm and 7-8:30pm.

Salary:
- Instructors $200 – 350 per week + room & board
