Trades Assistant Director

Requirements for hire: Must be in good standing with the Boy Scouts of America, Conquistador Council, and Wehinahpay Mountain Camp.

Specific Responsibilities:
The Trades Assistant Director aids the Trades Director in teaching the Trades program to all participants, along with supervising the Trades Staff period. Specific responsibilities include:

1. Aid the Trades Area Director in the supervision and motivation of the Trades staff in all their activities.
2. As assigned, aid the Trades Director in the training of the Trades Staff in all their activities.
3. Assume full direction of the Trades area in the absence of the Trades Director, unless otherwise directed.
4. Offer a quality Trades program which may include the Automotive Maintenance, Welding, Robotics, Farm Mechanics, Chemistry, Electricity, and Drones merit badges.
5. Assist in the set-up and take-down of a quality Trades Area in the Tech Center.
6. Assist the Trades Director in the maintenance, inventory, security, safety, and wise use of all Trades Area equipment used in the Trades Area programs.
7. Maintain strict discipline at all times when campers, leaders, and other staff are in the area.
8. Participate in all camp-wide activities as assigned.
9. Assist in the set-up and take-down of all campsite facilities.
10. All other duties as assigned.
