Health Lodge Officer

Weekly salary is $500 that includes food and board.

Scouts from all over the world attend one of the 7 weeks of summer camp at Ransburg Scout Reservation. Staff training week starts on May 25th – May 31st. We begin our first week of program on June 2nd. Staff are dismissed on July 22nd.

Responsibilities of the health officer include administering first aid, medications, and overseeing that a safe and healthy environment is maintained for all campers and staff. No Scouting experience is necessary. Working at camp provides an excellent opportunity to operate under a unique set of standing orders, treating everything from cuts and bruises to homesickness to trauma.

Must have at least one of the following credentials:
Emergency Medical Responder
Emergency Medical Technician
Paramedic
Licensed Physician Assistant
Nurse (RN, LPN, or LVN)
Nurse Practitioner
Licensed Physician

Looking for applicants who:
Can keep accurate medical records (first aid administered, medication administered, etc.)
Must be able to adhere to policies and enforce them through all situations.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Able to work independently with little supervision.
