Office Manager

Pay: Begins at $215/week, additional pay considered for Eagle Scouts, NYLT/Wood Badge Training, and other relevant trainings/awards. Housing in a cabin with electricity and meals Thursday-Tuesday included.

Job Summary: The Cub World Office Manager is the primary contact for leaders regarding all administrative aspects of camp. This position serves as the primary source for questions from Scouts, parents, and leaders regarding their stay at camp. The Office Manager will lead the check-in and check—out processes, and work with the Camping Assistant and Business Manager to make sure all attendees are paid in full, and all refunds are prepared to be issued at the end of the season.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

·         Manage incoming communications to Cub World from leaders and parents by phone and email.

·         Answer any questions regarding the operations of camp, including the check-in process, daily activities, and the check-out process.

·         Lead other staff members in the check-in process when a unit or provisional camper arrives.

·         Assign provisional campers to a host unit, and establish communication between the parents of the provisional camper and the leaders of the host unit.

·         Take payment for unpaid camp fees.

·         Following check-in, report any remaining unpaid fees to the Business Manager.

·         Prepare check-out packets for units to receive upon their departure.

·         Plan each sleeping accommodation’s room/tent assignments based on Youth Protection Training guidelines and individual preference indicated on that individual’s registration.

·         Maintain the cleanliness of the Cub World Admin Building at all times.

·         Ensure all visitors and individuals leaving camp sign-in/out prior to entering and leaving camp.

·         Assist individuals and units who request early departure in completing the check-out process prior to the standard departure time.

·         Other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications:

·         Recommended 18+.

·         High school graduate or GED preferred.

·         Prior retail experience preferred.

·         Have excellent customer service, communication skills, and attention to detail.

·         Demonstrate strong computer skills including a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
