Ecology and Conservation Director

ECOLOGY-CONSERVATION DIRECTOR: (18+) Responsible to: Program Director

Duties are as follows:

(1) Responsible for the entire nature area and operation.

(2) Works out and coordinates a schedule for all nature related merit badges, skill awards, and special activities. Merit Badge Include: Nature, Environmental Science, Mammal Study, Fish and Wildlife Management, Soil and Water Conservation, Reptile and Amphibian Study, and Weather.

(3) Supervise and direct the nature assistants as to their specific responsibilities.

(4) Holds certification in and/or equivalent Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR (adult).

(5) All other duties as assigned to him/her by the Program Director.

(6) Actively engage in camp staff activities including, but not limited to: assisting at meal times as needed, participating in songs and skits for campfire programs, assisting with camper check-in and check-out, cleaning and maintain camp facilities.

(7) Maintain records of all nature advancements, which he/she will turn over to the Program Director daily.

(8) Be a prime example of the Scout Oath and Law at all times.

(9) All other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

MUST PASS A PENNSYLVANIA STATE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND FBI FINGERPRINT SCREENING.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary starting at $278 per week

  • Paid training. (CPR and First Aid)
