Scoutcraft Director

SCOUTCRAFT DIRECTOR (18+) Responsible to: Program Director. Eagle Scout helpful, but not required.

Duties are as follows:

(1) Must be well versed in scout skills and Leave No Trace as set forth by the BSA.

(2) Responsible for the entire Outdoor Skills area and operation.

(3) Works and coordinates a schedule for all Scout Skills related merit badges, and special activities. Merit Badges include: Camping, Geocaching, Cooking, Emergency Preparedness, First Aid, Wilderness Survival, Orienteering, Search and Rescue, Hiking, Fire Safety, and Safety.

(4) Supervise and direct the Scout Skills assistants as to their specific responsibilities.

(5) Holds certification in and/or equivalent Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR (adult).

(6) Actively engage in camp staff activities including, but not limited to: assisting at meal times as needed, participating in songs and skits for campfire programs, assisting with camper check-in and check-out, cleaning and maintain camp facilities.

(7) Maintain records of all Outdoor Skills advancements, which he/she will turn over to the Program Director daily.

(8) Be a prime example of the Scout Oath and Law at all times.

(9) All other duties as assigned to him/her by the Program Director.

MUST PASS A PENNSYLVANIA STATE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND FBI FINGERPRINT SCREENING.

Compensation and Benefits
