Camp Business Manager

CAMP BUSINESS MANAGER
Reports To: Camp Director

Supervises: Kitchen Manager, Trading Post Director, Camp Maintenance/ Ranger

Primary Functions: To assist the Camp Director in running the day-to-day business operations of summer camp.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

•      Work with the Camp Director to achieve budget.

•      Improves check-in procedures and protocols to safely and efficiently get all visitors to camp through the check-in process in a minimum amount of time.

•      Working with the Camp Director, responsible for ordering Trading Post sale, program, and food items.

•      With the Program Director, collect program supply needs and order those items

•      Do periodic inventories to order resupply items.

•      Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager on food orders.

•      Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including camper fees, trading post revenues, petty cash, purchase orders, and check requests, according to Council accounting standards.

•      With the Trading Post Director, reconcile cash on hand daily and prepare it for deposit.

•      Ensure Health and Sanitation procedures are followed in food preparation and storage.

•      Answer phone calls as needed. Staff the front desk to answer customer questions.

•      Performs other duties as assigned by the Camp Director.

Critical Elements of the Position:

•      Must be 18 years of age or older.

•      Must be a role model for staff members and campers.

•      Follows all health and safety guidelines made by the County, State, USA, and Scouting America.

•      Background checks required.

•      Moderate lifting required.
