Camp Commmissioner

CAMP COMMISSIONER
Reports To: Program Director

Primary Functions: Serve as liaison to unit leaders and support camp staff.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

•      Conducts campsite health and safety inspections.

•      Improves check-in procedures and protocols to safely and efficiently get all visitors to camp through the check-in process in a minimum amount of time. • Provides program support as requested by the Program Director

•      Conducts special program activities.

•      Works to maintain high morale among staff, unit leaders, and campers.

•      Help facilitate adult training.

•      Conducts Scout Vesper service.

•      Encourages all at camp to develop/strengthen their commitment to the 12th point of the Scout Law “A Scout is Reverent”

•      All other duties as assigned.

Critical Elements of the Position:

•      Must be 18 years of age or older.

•      Must be a role model for staff members and campers.

•      Follows all health and safety guidelines made by the County, State, USA, and Scouting America.

•      Extensive walking and moderate lifting required.
