Camp Program Director

CAMP PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Reports To: Camp Director

Supervises: Commissioners, Area Directors

Primary Functions: To run the day-to-day program operations of our summer camp by providing leadership to commissioners, area directors, and other camp staff as assigned.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

•      See that all program elements of camp are being carried out with quality and safety.

•      Improves check-in procedures and protocols to safely and efficiently get all visitors to camp through the check-in process in a minimum amount of time.

•      Under the supervision on the Camp Director, manage staff discipline and morale.

•      With the Camp Director, carry out all pre-camp staff meetings and participant leader meetings.

•      Provide leadership to improve the teaching quality of the staff.

•      Provide a quality customer service experience for all guests.

•      Attends all camp leader’s meetings to help coordinate total camp operation(s).

•      Works with staff to ensure that all class reports are submitted online before the end of each session.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Camp Director.

Critical Elements of the Position:

•      Must be 21 years of age or older.

•      Must be a role model for staff members and campers.

•      Follows all health and safety guidelines made by the County, State, USA, and Scouting America.

•      Valid National Camp School card for position for dates of camp

•      Extensive walking and moderate lifting required.
