About the job: Under the direction of the Senior Ranger, Seasonal Rangers work on addressing the maintenance and upkeep of the reservation. Rangers help with landscaping, setting up structures/tents, moving equipment across the reservation and trailwork. This is a seasonal role from Early to Mid June to Early September.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, or possessing a practical mechanical aptitude are a plus but not required
- Possess the ability to perform basic household type repairs
- Assist in maintenance of scheduled facility operations
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
- Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age by start of employment (21+ requirement, if applicable, will be noted below)
- Must become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America at the start of employment and subscribe to the Scout Oath, Scout Law, and Declaration of Religious Principles
- Must provide a complete and current BSA Annual Health and Medical Record to the Infirmary upon arrival including review of risk advisory and immunization requirements. Must provide COVID-19 Vaccination records
- Must participate in designated staff training
- Must adhere to the policies and programs set forth by Ten Mile River Scout Camps management
