Handicraft Director
Must be 18 years of age, have skills in arts and crafts (leatherwork, art, etc.), and possess some managerial and teaching experience. Oversees all aspects of the Handicraft. Directly manages all of the Handicraft area staff. Must be able to use all Handicraft equipment safely and confidently (files, brushes, drill press, wood burner, etc.), manage all paperwork for the area and area staff (inventories, staff evaluations, merit badge paperwork, lesson plans, Friday paperwork, etc.), teach merit badge classes, participate in evening walkabouts, assist in mealtime announcements and program, attend weekly Area Director staff meetings, conduct troop rotations, evening and older scout activities, track and report needed repairs to Handicraft equipment, clean and maintain the Handicraft area, create the end of the year staff plaque, and act as an adult staff role model to the youth, leaders, and junior staff present in camp. Is responsible to the Program Director.
