Commissary Staff

Medicine Mountain Scout Ranch is hiring commissary staff. There are 3 openings for this position. The commissary staff is responsible for packaging the food for the units per the unit menu submission. The units pick-up the food from the commissary to take to the campsite and cook the meal. These staff members are under direct supervision of the Commissary Director.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 15 years of age.
  • Must meet OSHA requirements to operate power equipment.
  • Must be a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America. If you are not registered you can still apply and registration will be done here at the Black Hills Area Council.
  • Must practice the Scout Oath and Law as a way of life.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly responsible to the Commissary Director.
  • Follow and maintain the policies of the Black Hills Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, and local, state and federal laws.
  • Assist in the weekly commissary inventory process.
  • Responsible for the proper health and sanitation of the Commissary operation and facilities.
  • Maintain a positive attitude when dealing with the adult leaders and campers.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing food for the troops.
  • Assist in checking in orders and stocking shelves.
  • Participate in camp wide events.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Commissary Director, Business Manager, and Camp Director.
