Camp Health Officer

Camp Melita Island on beautiful Flathead Lake in Northwestern Montana is looking to fill our Health Officer position for the 2025 season. Melita Island is a small, 64 acre island camp with beautiful sunrises/sunsets and a true camp family feel.

The Health Officer is requested to arrive by Friday, June 20th. Melita’s director arrive on Tuesday, June 24th. Staff arrive on Saturday, June 28th for staff training week. We have 5 week-long Scouts BSA sessions followed by camp closedown which concludes on Monday, August 11th.

The Health Officer is required to have one of the following certifications according to the NCAP standards:

– Licensed physician

-Licensed nurse practitioner

-Nurse (RN, LPN, or LVN)

-Licensed physician assistant

-Paramedic

-Emergency medical technician (basic, intermediate, or paramedic)

-Emergency medical responder (i.e. current state license from the state in which the camp is located or current National Certified First Responder listed on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians)
