Dining Hall Manager

Qualifications:

  • Is at least 18 years of age.
  • Has SafeServe Certification, or its equivalent
  • Is First Aid/C.P.R./AED certified.
  • Is a registered member of Scouting America.
  • Practices the Scout Oath and Law as a way of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Food Service Manager.
  • Follow and maintain the policies of the Natural State Council, Scouting America, and local, state, and federal laws.
  • Assists the Camp Cook and Food Service Manager in preparing the Dining Hall for meal service.
  • Supervise the cleanliness and stock of the condiment table, salad bar, and sanitation of the Dining Hall and prepare sanitation carts for use by waiters.
  • Ensure the Dining Hall is set up and that units clean up after themselves and their respective Dining Hall areas.
  • Ensure beverage and self-serve stations are well stocked with drinks, ice, and other supplies
  • Ensure any plastic ware, disposable utensils and napkins are well stocked before meal service.
  • Prepare a daily inventory and order sheet regarding what needs to be purchased for the Dining Hall.
  • Participate in camp wide events when possible, including flag ceremonies.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Camp Cook, Food Service Manager, Program Director and the Camp Director.
  • Promote and maintain a positive and fun, safety-conscious attitude in all aspects of our camp atmosphere and ensure that all staff work as a team to accomplish the mission and vision of Camp Rockefeller, Natural State Council, Scouting America.
