Rifle Instructor

Instructor must have a current BSA Shooting Sports Director certification or NRA Rifle Instructor certification.  The Rifle Instructor ensure positive training for Scouts and adult leaders in the proper use of a rifle, range procedures, and safety rules are taught at the ranges.  Insure that the shooting ranges meet established standards. Proper BSA standards for instruction, supervision and safety training are carried out in the marksmanship programs.  Maintain the range physical layout as given in the field sports manual of the Boy Scouts of America (including proper fencing, warning signs and warning flags) for each range.
Serve as a merit badge counselor of Shooting Sports merit badges.
