Massawepie Scout Camps is home to the Adirondack Trek Center, the premier Scouting High Adventure Base in the Northeast. Seasonal Voyageur Trek Guides provide guidance to crews of youth and adults on canoeing and backpacking trips through the Adirondack Park. Massawepie is located just west of Tupper Lake, NY and serves 2000 campers a summer.
On-site housing and food is provided for the duration of the season.
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Availability for the entire season of June 25-August 16, 2023, AND for National Camping School Trek Leader Training, June 9-16.
- Must be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America and pass a criminal background check as part of the hiring process.
- Experience working with youth.
- Demonstration of backpacking, camping, canoeing, and outdoor leadership skills.
