Camp Conestoga has seven major program areas that offer daily activities, evening programs, and merit badge instruction. Each area is supervised and maintained by an Area Director who works with their staff to coordinate and carry out the daily program. This job description encompasses the following program areas: Pathfinder, Scoutcraft, Nature, and Handicraft.
Reports To: Program Director
Responsibilities:
Conduct area program and merit badges assigned to the area in a safe and productive manner.
Carries out all duties associated with managing a staff including evaluations, discipline, assignment of duties, and communication with management.
Maintain the facilities and equipment in the area.
Develop instructional skills to be used with Campers.
Develop knowledge of and proficiency in specified area through explanation, demonstration, practice and review.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Shall meeting with their supervisor regularly to accomplish needed tasks and responsibilities.
Will set the example with their personal conduct, using the Scout Oath and Law as their guide, and by wearing a proper and complete Scout Uniform.
